After contemplating for years about publishing a website I have finally decided to do so. This site will be used to inform the citizens of Bell County about upcoming events, topics that are of great interest, and a place to ask questions. You will also find a secton pertaining to my published works and have a chance to place your order for them as well. There is also a community forum that will be heavily moderated, this means that trolling and flamming will not be allowed. In order to partake in the forum you will need to register and complete a profile. Everyone that registers will have their membership approved by a moderator. Lmu's Tree Lighting and Knoxville Symphony:Dates & Times

Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) will kick off the holiday season on Thursday, December 6 with a full day of activities including two performances by the Knoxville Symphony Chamber Orchestra (KSCO), a Christmas bazaar and the annual tree lighting on the quad.
The event will begin with the opening of the LMU Women of Service (WOS) Christmas Bazaar, set for a 3 p.m. start. A myriad of festive holiday goods will be available in a heated tent on the quad. Items include holiday wreaths, decorated trees, centerpieces, topiaries and gift baskets. All of the proceeds will benefit LMU’s Women of Service organization which supports students and provides cultural opportunities for students at LMU. The bazaar will be open throughout the evening. WOS will also welcome LMU Alumnus and Carter and Moyers School of Education Dean Emeritus Fred Bedelle for a book signing of his recently released With All Deliberate Speed, a book about the desegregation of Knoxville City Schools in the 1960s and the early 1970s.
The KSCO will perform two concerts in the Sam and Sue Mars Performing Arts Center at the Duke Hall of Citizenship. The first performance is set for 4 p.m. and the second will follow the annual tree lighting at 7:30 p.m. The concerts will feature traditional and popular holiday music and are sponsored by LMU, The City of Harrogate, The Claiborne County Chamber of Commerce and K-N-K Metal Sales, Inc. The University also received a Tennessee Arts Commission grant in support of the concert. Additionally, KSO Concertmaster Gabriel Lefkowitz, Associate Principal Viola Eunsoon Corliss and Principal Cellist Any Bryenton will hold a master classes with students from the J. Frank White Academy String Ensemble prior to the first performance.
The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. on the quad in front of the Harold M. Finley Learning Resources Center in the Carnegie Vincent Library. The program will include music, storytelling and a visit from Santa Claus. Refreshments will be served just outside Duke Hall of Citizenship prior to the second KSCO concert.
In conjunction with the holiday celebrations, the University will once again be collecting items for Mission of Hope’s annual Christmas Campaign. This will be the 16th year for the Christmas Campaign. The Christmas Campaign focuses on providing food, new clothing, hygiene items, books and new toys to needy families throughout rural Appalachia.
